含化石层位于何王家组底部向上 3m 处的红色粘土层内，包括甘肃豪猪(Hystrix gansuensis)、翼兔(Alilepus sp.)、卑廖臭鼬(Prome-phitis sp.)、鬣狗(Chasmaporthetes sp.)、翁氏鬣狗(Hyaenitherium wongii)、新罗斯祖鹿(Cervavitus novorosiae)、长颈鹿(Palaetraggus sp.)，萨摩麟(Samotherium sp.)、原大羚(Protoryx sp.)、鬣羚(Capricornis sp)等。其中，甘肃豪猪(Hystrix gansuensis)的确定不仅拓宽了新近纪豪猪在中国的分布，也为豪猪化石的进化史提供了新的线索。
The fossil-bearing layer is in the red clay layer 3m up from the bottom of the Hewangjia Formation, including Hystrix gansuensis、Alilepus sp.、Prome-phitis sp.、Chasmaporthetes sp.；Hyaenitherium wongii，Cervavitus novorosiae，Palaetraggus sp.，Samotherium sp.，Protoryx sp.，Capricornis sp. Among them，Hystrix gansuensis is not only broadens the distribution of the neogene porcupine in China, but also provides new clues for the evolutionary history of porcupine fossils.
