In order to practice the spirit of the promotion conference for the application and establishment of Linxia Global Geopark for earnestly, further accelerate the process of eatablishing Linxia Global Geopark, complete the preparatory work for the UNESCO Global Geopark experts  assessment in an all-round and high-quality way, The leaders in charge of the prefecture party committee and the prefecture government led a delegation of 16 responsible comrades from the prefecture and counties (city) level Linxia Global Geopark Application offices to visit the Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark (Hunan Province) for on-the-spot investigation and study from June 9 to June 12,studying the experience on establishment of advanced global geopark, improving the professional ability of the prefecture, county (city) aUGGP staff. Xiangxi Tujiazu&Miaozu Autonomous Prefecture has a long history and culture. There are not only world cultural heritage Laosi City, but also national historical and cultural city Fenghuang ancient city and national archaeological site Liye ancient city. The geopark is noted for the two GSSPs in the Cambrian system-The GSSP for Guzhangian Stage and GSSP for Paibian Stage. The Geopark also features some geosites, including the world largest red carbonate rock stone forest and spectacular plateau incised platform-canyon group. These geosites are complemented by many other typical geological phenomena, such as typical geological tectonic events, the paleoglacier climate events and paleontological relics, which completely record the evolutionary history of the Yangtze Platform and the incision, fragmentation and disintegration process at the edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. In December 2020, Xiangxi Geopark successfully joined the UNESCO global Geopark network. During the study period, they successively visited shibadong village, the geological museum, Aizhai bridge, Dehang Miao Ethnic village, The GSSP for Guzhangian Stage, Red stone forest, geological science school, etc, and carefully studied the advanced experience and scientific practice of Xiangxi global Geopark in planning construction, management organization construction, navigation system and traffic sign system construction, geological heritage protection, utilization of application and establishment achievements . At the exchange forum, the delegation introduced the application and establishment of Linxia Global Geopark, and discussed the problems encountered. Relevant responsible comrades of Xiangxi Prefecture shared in details of their working experience in the application and establishment of Xiangxi UGGP , and put forward many guiding suggestions for the work of "application and establishment of UGGP" in our prefecture. The delegation watched, studied, thought and discussed all the way, all members of the delegation agreed that Xiangxi Global Geopark has a high position, practical measures, great efforts and good results, and has accumulated a lot of advanced working experience and fruitful work practices. Through investigation and study, members of delegation found out the gap, learned the experience and updated the concept. It is agreed that we should continue to strengthen the docking and connection with relevant aspects of Xiangxi Prefecture, refine and summarize the good experience and good practices that we have seen and learned, combine obtained precious knowledge with the actual situation of our prefecture, creatively apply it into the specific work of application and establishment of Linxia Global Geopark, and fill in the shortcomings and gaps in the application and establishments of our prefecture. We must ensure that the project has successfully passed the on the spot assessment and acceptance of UNESCO experts and successfully won the "golden signboard" of the Global geological park, adding a beautiful world card for the high-quality development of Linxia cultural tourism industry.

In order to better build Linxia aUGGp, update Linxia Geopark official website and information exchange ability, on the morning of 9^th June, Linxia Geopark Service Center held a website update meeting. Deputy director Ma Xuejun presided over the meeting, while all the crews of Linxia Geopark service Center attended.

At the meeting, everyone offered their ideas and suggestion, and discussed the content including designation, management, maintenance and etc.  It is well confirmed that the official website of Linxia Geopark has been revised and upgraded for many times. Till now, 79 fossil sites and geo-sites, 12 science popularization schools and 12 communities, and 46 partners have been uploaded on line. At the same time, other sections updated regularly.

The meeting pointed out that the website is the window to show Linxia Geopark to the world. On this basis, we should learn experiences of the official websites of other UGGp to enhance the information carrying capacity and public influence. Meanwhile, we should expand information sources and accelerate information sharing to ensure that more valuable and high-quality information will be presented on the website.

On February third to fourth, 5 people from Service Center of Linxia Geopark, visited the sister park- Zhangye UGGp for investigation and study. They visited every spot in Zhangye UGGp and learned experiences in application. After a visit, A symposium was held to share experiences in details on application of UGGp. Director of Service Center of Linxia Geopark made a speech, sharing the progress of Linxia aUGGp. Later ,two sides exchanged ideas on some detailed issues. Study group learned more and had a deep understanding about aUGGp by the visit, which brings more confidence and thoughts for the present work.

On 15^th June, Zhangye Geopark held symposium and sister geopark signing ceremony with Linxia Geopark. During the symposium, attendees watched the advertising video of Zhangye Geopark. And the representative from Zhangye Geopark shared experienceson the application of Zhangye UGGP Global Geopark.The two parks signed sister geopark agreement and will have further discussion on mutual promotion, research achievements sharing, geoheritage preservation, scientific management, staff training plan to obtain more opportunities and create win-win situation.The representative from Linxia Geopark indicated that during this training in Zhangye, staff from Linxia Geopark have found direction, learnt methods and advanced work concept and he sincerely invited Zhangye Geopark to Linxia Geopark for exchanging and studying. Meanwhile, he made an abundant introduction on geoheritage preservation, science popularization education, geoscience tourism and publicity in Linxia Geopark, which build foundation for further cooperation.Both parks had a discussion on geoheritage preservation，infrastructure construction and institution management，especially aspects of interpretation and indication system, science popularization gallery and geopark publicity.The representative from Zhangye Geopark emphasized that two parks should strengthen cooperation to promote mutual development and wished a success to Linxia Geopark’s application.

Linxia Geopark and Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark held a symposium on cooperation and development between two geoparks on June 12. At the meeting, Director of Dunhuang Natural Resources Bureau introduced the application process and mid-term evaluation experience of Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark.  The counterpart from Linxia Mr. Ma Yanlin made a speech later. This tour has left him a great impression and has provided valuable experience for Linxia. He hoped that both sides should exchange frequently in the future. And he sincerely invited Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark to visit Linxia Geopark .After the meeting, a sister-park signing ceremony was held and two sides officially become sister parks. Cooperation will be carried out to jointly promote the development and construction of Geoparks in the future.
