Hualin Ancient Animal on-site Fossils Museum, 16 kilometers away from the County, is located in Hualin Wanshougu, Songming Town, south of Hezheng County. It adjoins Monument Square of Hezheng National Geopark. The museum is a major scenic spot of Hezheng Ancient Animal Fossils National Geopark. The covered area of the museum is almost 10, 000 square meters. The museum is designed in heliciform, which highlights the theme echo of life. The exhibition philosophy is spine of life, top of world. The main exhibition area includes the preface hall, supersized LED screen, the original burial area, geological section and the experience zone of fossil mining holes. It provide an all-around presentation of the original burial state of hipparion fauna fossils, reveal the uplift history of Qinghai-ibet Plateau and the change of ecological environment and the evolutionary process of ancient fauna.
