On the afternoon of October 6th,more than 60 children and their parents from Dingxi City visited Hualin Paleozoological on-site Museum for parent-child learning activities. Here, they visited the typical  original burial area and mining site of Hipparion fauna, carefully watched these ancient biological relics with their own eyes, and uncovered the mysterious geological history.

With the museum guide, children and parents were taken into ancient animal world dating back approximately 30 million to 2.5 million years ago, exploring the life evolution history on Earth. The great feature of Hualin Paleozoological on-site Museum is that it allows people to observe the most primitive ancient animal fossils closely. Being able to clearly understand theHipparion fauna dating back 12 to 5 million years ago, including the world's unique fossils of Hezhengia, Hipparion , rhinoceroses, giant hyenas, saber toothed tigers, etc. The original burial area and exhibits not only have deep interpretation and temperature interpretation, but also large animal simulation scenes, sound and light, allowing children and their parents to feel as if they were there, seeing the living scenes of the Hipparion fauna in remote ancient times.

After the visit, the children and parents hiked on the Hualin  geological wooden trek for viewing. That makes everyone understand that geological resources are non renewable and precious geological relics, which have high scientific research value for studying the uplift history of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the paleogeography, paleoclimate, and changes in the paleoenvironment of the Linxia Basin. Through on-site investigation of geological profiles, they learnt the work of geologists and also explored the wonders of Earth.
