International Fossil Day !Unveil the mysterious cover of fossil!
化石是不可再生的珍贵自然资源,是人们了解生命起源与演化历史的最重要的实证,也是现代社会赖以运转的化石能源和众多矿产资源的重要载体。 2017年,国际古生物协会(IPA)向全球古生物科研科普机构发起号召,将每年10月11日,定为“国际化石日”,通过举办丰富多彩的纪念活动,开展古生物化石科普宣传,提升公众对古生物化石的保护意识。
化石保护相关条例
1.加强对古生物化石的保护,促进古生物化石的科学研究和合理利用。
2.单位和个人在生产、建设等活动中发现古生物化石的,应当保护好现场,并立即报告所在地县级以上地方人民政府自然资源主管部门。
3.国家鼓励单位和个人将其收藏的重点保护古生物化石捐赠给符合条件的收藏单位(博物馆)收藏。
4.单位和个人违反规定买卖重点保护古生物化石的,由公安机给予治安管理处罚,构成犯罪的,依法追究刑事责任。
Fossils are non renewable precious natural resources, the most important evidence for people to understand the origin and evolutionary history of life, and an important carrier of fossil energy and numerous mineral resources that modern society relies on for operation. In 2017, the International Association of Paleontology (IPA) launched a call to global paleontological research and popularization institutions to designate October 11th as "International Fossil Day". Through organizing a variety of commemorative activities and promoting paleontological fossil science popularization, IPA aims to enhance public awareness of the protection of paleontological fossils.
The relevant regulations on fossil Protection
1. Strengthen the protection of paleontological fossils, promote scientific research and rational utilization of paleontological fossils.
2. Organizations and individuals who discover fossils of ancient organisms during production, construction, and other activities shall protect the site and immediately report to the natural resources department of the local people's government at or above the county level.
3. The state encourages organizations and individuals to donate their key protected paleontological fossils to eligible collection units (museums) for collection.
4. Organizations and individuals who violate regulations by buying or selling key protected ancient fossil shall be subject to public security management penalties. If a crime is committed, criminal responsibility shall be pursued in accordance with the law.
