The Hui businessmen have gathered in Ba Fang Shi San Hang (Bafang thirteen lanes) since the Tang Dynasty, and eight mosques have been built by them. People lived around the eight mosques, that’s why it was called Ba Fang. Ba Fang Shi San Hang (Bafang thirteen lanes) is a combination of  Hui brick carving,  Han wood carving and  Tibetan color painting. They are integrated with national characteristics, leisure tourism, green ecology, humanities, science and education together. It is the cultural card of Hezhou ( which is the ancient name of Linxia city) ethnic customs and the “Grand View Garden” of national architectural art. At night, 13 streets and lanes start the “shining” mode ( all the lights turn on during the night) , which is very charming and beautiful.
