The Linxia Ma Yaoliang Gourd Carving Art Institute was born out of the wish of Ma Yaoliang, the master of gourd carving art, to what is taken from the people is to be used for the good of the people. As the base of Linxia prefecture Special Education School ,the Institute prepares teaching materials, adopt the different teaching method according to different person and place, carries out teaching and training activities to help and support the unemployed and the rural surplus labor force and the disadvantaged (disabled) to learn a skill and solve the re-employment problem.
